The founder of the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society (WTBTS), ? Charles Taze Russell, was a religious eclectic. Webster?s Dictionary defines an ?eclectic? as a person who selects from different systems, doctrines or sources. That?s exactly what Russell did. He rejected the Christian faith of his fathers and collected doctrines and beliefs from various pagan systems and wacko scientific theories that were making the rounds in late 19th-century America. He spliced these together with selected Bible texts and Second Adventist teachings to form the new religion of Russellism. http://www.greatdreams.com/pyramid.htm Click Me.
Everthing presented here about PYRAMIDOLOGY...I learned from my devout,'old time' JW grandfather,Roger Haszard He was an elder and special pioneer,[missonary]
Bedtime stories about pastor Russel, [the founder of Jehovah's Witnesses], and the great pyramid. All my cousins and siblings know this to be true.
Christendom has their pagan santa claus, and the Watchtower has their spooky occult origins....
....Wake up and smell the facts man.

So what exactly IS an apostate?
by somebodylovesme ini was under the impression that an apostate was anyone who left the witnesses, was df'ed/da'ed, or was just actively opposed to them.
but i was reading in my hubby's old "reasoning book" that an apostate is one who professes to believe in christ (but not the jws), claims to serve god (but is not a jw), tries to pull away current jws or attack them.
so, by that definition, would someone who fades away and professes no religion still be considered an apostate if he or she didn't try to take anyone with them and did not attack the religion?.

http://www.dannyhaszard.com/apostate.htm Apostates ,Apostasy, Apostate Baiting Apostate Baiting is a Judicial committee assault tactic, where your loyalty is grilled for any signs of 'independent thinking'. It's a similar 3rd degree sleaze tactic as the familiar,Nazi Jew Baiting, geek baiting, nerd baiting,or red baiting... The Watchtower's Biblical basis for the,'Eternal Damnation' of said apostates':Matthew 12 31 And so I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven. 32 Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come. Disagreement with the kangaroo court JC decision to disfellowship you is considered,"a Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit". Further support for, the Watchtowers 'damnation' of apostates,is based on this passage:Hebrews 10 26 If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the "Truth", no sacrifice for sins is left, 27 but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God" This,"consuming raging fire",is where the,"maddening envy" of said apostates, in my prior post comes in.It also presupposes that the Watchtower religion is the,"Truth". [ Danny sez: apostate baiting, "like patriotisim,it's the last refuge of the scoundrel''.

OSAMA BIN LADEN ON APOSTATES: Osama say's kill 'apostates'. The Latest "Osama bin Laden" Tape: Archive Entry From Brad ... ... of an audio message purported to be by al-Qaeda leader Osama Bin Laden, broadcast on ... kill the Muslims in Iraq, should know that they are apostates and outside ... www.j-bradford-delong.net/movable_type/2003_archives THE WATCHTOWER ON APOSTATES:
Compare the Watchtower with Bin laden...."We are not living today among theocratic nations where such members of our fleshly family relationship could be """""exterminated for apostasy""""" from God and his theocratic organization, as was possible and was ordered in the nation of Israel in the wilderness of Sinai and in the land of Palestine.{{{{ "Thou shalt surely kill him;}}}}} thy hand shall be first upon him to put him to death, and afterwards the hand of all the people.
And thou shalt stone him to death with stones, because he hath sought to draw thee away from Jehovah thy God, . . . And all Israel shall hear, and fear, and shall do no more any such wickedness as this is in the midst of thee."-Deut. 13:6-11, AS."
"Being limited by the laws of the worldly nation in which we live and also by the laws of God through Jesus Christ, we can take action against apostates only to a certain extent, that is, consistent with both sets of laws." The Evolution of the 'Evil Slave'. The precursor to the Watchtower's, 'Apostate' is the abominable, ''Evil Slave''.. I've been in the JW cult since 1957 so my exposure is historical. In the parable of the Evil slave, the Evil slave protagonist did something to deem him evil. What did he do? He presumptuously set a date, in order for him to say;"my master is delaying..." HELLO! It was Zions Watchtower that set the date,[1914] Everything about the WT$ ivory tower dogma is twisted. The,'dirty little Evil Slave' bogeyman got burned out over time......Eventually,evolved into the 'dirty little apostate'. The first time I remember the introduction of new hate slur, was at the district convention circa 1979. Think about this,,when was the last time you remember hearing dire warnings about the Evil Slave?

Apostate is defined in an ordinary dictionary as; 'A devout believer, turned destroyer".That's exactly what I am.
The Watchtower's loaded language lingo definition is: ( get this ) "..someone who has left the 'truth' and because of 'maddening envy' hates his former brothers..."
Give me a break man,....I'am not envious of them,I just want my money back.

{When i was an active JW under Watchtower mind control indoctrination. My first impressions of the 'apostate' was of a haughty stupid buffoon, who 'comes on down outta the mountain' to lead and be boss } I've learned the real deal.Hail the apostate heros!]

Do You Realize How Much Being a Witness Has Hindered You?
by minimus inthe truth is------- we have lost out on soooooo much, simply because we were witnesses.
it might b like almost starting all over again, for some of us.

To above posted query;
That's correct,no sex till 45 about 8 months ago,have a wonderful soulmate now.
Very complicated dynamic,I had a diseased bowel that desperately needed to be removed,( major surgery big time)
Lived with crippling Ulcerative Colitis for 28 years, from 1970-1998.
For the first 15 years of surgical practice the 'nerve plexus' around the male prostate gland was severed resulting in 90% probability of Impotance.
So i had to live with constant threat of doomsday,No need to be alarmed though, cause the 'new system' just round the corner.
In 1985 a new micro surgery was developed,so when the 16 lbs of rotten colon came out i was not 'neuterd'.
Instead,I now have a Colostomy bag for the rest of my life. This disfigurement doesn't 'enhance' one's sex life.
The woman in my life now is very understanding.
Get the picture? My life a total hell on earth, because of the Watchtower's bogus defaulted blasphemous lies.

I squandered my youth for a cult!
I recieved a medical exemption from school in 1973 @ age 14, I topped out at 7th grade.[ severe Ulcerative Colitis]
Didn't need an edu., anyhow cause we were all going back to speaking Hebrew post 1975.
Lived (until 31) with my disabled/dysfunctional JW family, who were dysfunctional BECAUSE they were JW's.
Gave all my earnings to the WT as direct cash donations or assisting pioneers or the needy.I wasn't gonna need an 'old age' stash.
Was a good looking boy in my prime, didn't have a girlfriend/sex until age 45.
My entire.( 4 generations ) family wrecked by the WT$.I consider myself a survivor of WT$ genocide.
Hey mates,"I could have had a V-8"... Hey I could have had a Frigging LIFE !

What Makes Some ExJWs So Angry & Others So Pleasant???
by minimus in.
from what i can see, it appears that some exwitnesses are either handling life outside the organization pretty well or not well at all.
i wonder if some persons simply, by nature are angry, unhappy persons while others are naturally good, "honest-hearted ones" that simply want to find some measure of happiness.

Why Ex members still sometimes defend the Watchtower!
http://www.freeminds.org/psych/whyleave.htm#defend . This is an unresolved biggie, for many who exit a high demand/control cult like the JW's.WHY, IT IS SO IMPORTANT TO MAKE COMPARISIONS/CONNECTIONS WITH OTHER CULTS.As soon as the client sees the striking similarity of tactics with the other cults it will click with them.
That's what happened to myself and many others.I was truly amazed that the moonies call their deceptive protocol of lying:"heavenly deception".How this rings and resonates so closely with the Watchtower's;"theocratic warfare".
